Terms of Use
NTRODUCTION
Welcome to Wevae. These Terms of Use (the "Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Weve Technologies, LLC ("Wevae," the "Company," "we," and "us") governing your access to and use of our application (the "App"), our website located at https://wevae.com, and all related features and services (collectively, the "Service"). We have attempted to describe these Terms in plain language, limiting legal and technical jargon where possible.
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, available at https://wevae.com/privacypolicy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may occasionally update these Terms to reflect changes in the law, our practices, or the features of our Service. When we make changes, we will revise the "Updated" date at the top of these Terms, which will be posted at https://wevae.com/terms. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of changes means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account at any time as described below.
ELIGIBILITY
To create an account and use the Service, you must:
• Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required to use the Service in your jurisdiction, if higher);
• Be legally permitted to use the Service under the laws of your jurisdiction;
• Have never been convicted of a felony or indictable offense (or crime of similar severity), a sex crime, or any crime involving violence or a threat of violence;
• Not be required to register as a sex offender with any government registry; and
• Not have been previously removed or banned from the Service by us.
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet all of the above requirements. We may terminate your account immediately and without notice if we determine that you do not.
YOUR ACCOUNT
Membership by Referral. Wevae is a referral-based community. To register as a member, you must join through a referral connection from an existing member. If you do not have a referral, you may join our waitlist and, at your option, enable notifications so that we can let you know when membership becomes available to you. We reserve the right to accept or decline any registration in our sole discretion.
Registration. Wevae uses Sign in with Apple as its sole authentication method — we do not collect or store passwords. During onboarding, you will be asked to provide your first and last name and at least one profile picture (you may add up to four), and you may choose to connect with suggested mutual connections of your referrer or search for your friends. Certain onboarding steps, such as device permissions, are described below.
Real Name; Accuracy. Wevae is a real-identity community — using your real name helps your friends and mutual connections find you on the Service. You agree to register under your real name and to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and while using the Service, and to keep your profile information up to date. Impersonating any person or entity, or misrepresenting your identity or affiliation with any person or entity, is strictly prohibited.
One Account. You may maintain only one account. Your account is for your personal use only — you may not authorize others to use your account, and you may not transfer or sell your account to anyone else.
Security. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, please notify us immediately at hello@wevae.com.
COMMUNITY GUIDELINES; ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY
Wevae is committed to maintaining a safe and trustworthy community. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users. Content or behavior that violates these Terms may result in immediate removal of the content and suspension or permanent termination of the responsible account, without prior notice.
By using the Service, you agree that you will NOT:
• Post, send, or share any content that is harassing, abusive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable;
• Bully, stalk, intimidate, harass, or defame any other user;
• Post, send, or share content that promotes racism, bigotry, hatred, or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual;
• Post, send, or share content that depicts, encourages, or facilitates violence, self-harm, or illegal activity;
• Solicit, share, or exploit sexual or explicit content involving minors, or engage in any conduct that endangers minors — such conduct will be reported to law enforcement;
• Spam, solicit money from, or defraud any user;
• Impersonate any person or entity, or post any images of another person without their permission;
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose, including advertising or solicitation, without our prior written consent;
• Collect, harvest, or share other users' personal information without their consent, or use the Service to stalk or track any individual;
• Attempt to circumvent any privacy control, location setting, block, or restriction implemented by another user or by us;
• Upload viruses or other malicious code, or otherwise compromise or interfere with the security or proper functioning of the Service;
• Access the Service through automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) or attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App; or
• Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor, review, and remove any content posted through the Service, and to investigate and take appropriate action against any user who violates these Terms.
REPORTING AND BLOCKING
We provide in-app tools for keeping the community safe:
Reporting. You may flag or report any content or user that you believe violates these Terms. Reports are reviewed by our team, and we take appropriate action — including content removal and account termination — against violations.
Blocking. You may block any user at any time through the Restricted People settings. Blocked users are fully prevented from interacting with you on the Service.

YOUR CONTENT
Ownership. You retain ownership of the content you create, post, or share on the Service, including your profile information, photos, and messages ("User Content").
License to Us. By posting or sharing User Content on the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, use, display, reproduce, adapt, and distribute your User Content solely for the purposes of operating, developing, providing, and improving the Service. This license ends when your User Content is deleted from our systems, subject to the retention practices described in our Privacy Policy.
Your Responsibility. You are solely responsible for the User Content you post. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to your User Content, and that your User Content does not violate these Terms, any applicable law, or the rights of any third party (including intellectual property and privacy rights).
Note on Messages. In-app messages are end-to-end encrypted and we cannot read their contents, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may nonetheless act on user reports of abusive messages, which users may voluntarily submit to us.
OUR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Service — including the App, website, and all software, designs, text, graphics, logos, and other materials created by us, but excluding User Content — is owned by Weve Technologies, LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by us. The Wevae name and logo are trademarks of Weve Technologies, LLC and may not be used without our prior written permission.
DEVICE PERMISSIONS; LOCATION AND NOTIFICATIONS
Location. During onboarding, and at any time thereafter through your device settings, you may grant Wevae permission to access your device's location services. Certain features of the Service use city-level location information as described in our Privacy Policy. Precise GPS coordinates are never stored in our systems or shared with other users. You may control how your location is used and displayed at any time through the My Location settings, including choosing Auto-Location, Fixed Location, or No Location modes. Granting location permission is optional — if you decline, you may enable it later in your device's iOS Settings, and location-based features of the Service may be limited or unavailable in the meantime.
Push Notifications. During onboarding, and at any time thereafter through your device settings, you may grant Wevae permission to send you push notifications so that you know when you receive messages from your friends and Weve chats, introduction requests, and other Service updates. Granting notification permission is optional, and you may adjust your notification preferences at any time in the App or in your device's iOS Settings. If you join the waitlist without a referral, you may also enable notifications to be informed when membership becomes available.
PURCHASES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS
Certain features of the Service may be offered for purchase or by subscription. All payments are processed exclusively through third-party services such as Apple and Stripe, and are subject to the applicable third party's terms and policies. Subscriptions purchased through the App Store are managed and auto-renew through your Apple ID account settings, and refunds for such purchases are handled by Apple in accordance with its policies. Except as required by applicable law, all purchases are final and non-refundable.
TERMINATION
By You. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through the App settings. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed, subject to the retention practices described in our Privacy Policy.
By Us. We may suspend or terminate your account, restrict your access to some or all features, or remove any of your User Content at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, if your conduct may harm other users or the Service, or as required by law. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior, and violations may result in immediate and permanent termination.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution) shall survive.
DISCLAIMERS
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
WEVAE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF ANY USER, WHETHER ON OR OFF THE SERVICE. YOU AGREE TO USE CAUTION IN ALL INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER USERS, PARTICULARLY IF YOU DECIDE TO COMMUNICATE OUTSIDE THE SERVICE OR MEET IN PERSON. WE DO NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS ON OUR USERS AND MAKE NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES AS TO THE CONDUCT, IDENTITY, OR INTENTIONS OF ANY USER.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WEVE TECHNOLOGIES, LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, MEMBERS, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS — ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE SERVICE, OR THE CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY USER OR THIRD PARTY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (i) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (ii) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Weve Technologies, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, members, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to (i) your use of the Service, (ii) your User Content, (iii) your violation of these Terms, or (iv) your violation of any rights of another person or entity.
GOVERNING LAW; DISPUTE RESOLUTION
These Terms and your access to the Service are governed and interpreted by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. By using the Service, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United States and the State of Delaware, agree that such courts shall have in personam jurisdiction and venue, and waive any objection based on inconvenient forum.
Class Action Waiver. You agree that you will not file or participate in a class action against us. Any dispute between you and the Company must be brought on an individual basis only.
APPLE-SPECIFIC TERMS
If you access the Service through an App downloaded from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:
• These Terms are between you and Weve Technologies, LLC only — not with Apple Inc. ("Apple") — and Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content.
• Your license to use the App is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
• Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the App.
• In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
• In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of such claim.
• You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
GENERAL
Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
No Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or by operation of law.
Language. In the event there is a discrepancy between this English language version and any translated copies of these Terms, the English version shall prevail.
